From Senator Blackwell

It has been an honor to represent you as Chairman of Medicaid and a member of the Appropriations, Business and Financial Institutions, Elections, Public Health, and Accountability Committees.

These positions are important to future of any community, and they have helped me to secure critical funding that improves the quality of life we enjoy in DeSoto County.  These positions are not easily attained; they are acquired through hard work, tenure, and trust.

I look forward to continue addressing the unique financial, economic and educational challenges that necessitate common sense, business minded solutions. Since Republicans gained control of both state houses the state legislature has been moving forward in the right direction. However, there is more work to be done.

We must work to continue to grow our state’s economy by reducing regulations on the private sector in order to create jobs, decrease the size and scope of government, and get Washington out of our state schools. Additionally, we need leadership in Jackson that will fight to protect the citizens of Mississippi from the liberal policies of Washington.

With over 30 years as a healthcare executive and owner of three small businesses I possess a diverse set of skills that will enable me to be innovative, insightful, and serve you with indisputable integrity. Once again, It has been an honor to serve your family and I ask for your support and vote as we work towards a more prosperous and efficient Mississippi.
